Volunteer in YOUR state parks! Join California State Parks for a family-friendly volunteer day at Carmel River State Beach every 2nd Saturday of the month. WHAT: Help us restore the iconic bluffs and beaches of Carmel River State Beach! Projects vary each month but may include planting native plants, weeding invasive plants, watering restoration sites, and more! This work helps improve habitat for the endangered Smith’s Blue Butterfly along with a host of other dune species. WHEN: Every 2nd Saturday of the month. 9am – 12pm.
